Sam Slack-Smith
Legal Director
Sam is the Legal Director of Slack-Smith Legal and is a trusted advisor who provides strategic legal and business advice. He is an expert property, commercial and estate planning lawyer and has been recognised as a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Property Law.
Sam has significant expertise, knowledge and experience in dealing with property and commercial transactions and disputes. Sam is also experienced in estate and succession planning and the administration of deceased estates.
He provides advice to businesses, individuals and government departments and acts as an independent consultant to other professionals, including law firms and conveyancers, in relation to complex matters.
Clients will appreciate Sam’s perceptive advice and straightforward, practical approach.
Outside work, Sam enjoys spending time with his young family and 2 labradors.
Belinda Konik
Associate Lawyer
Belinda began her career in residential property and has since spent the past eight years broadening her expertise to encompass a diverse commercial and estate planning law practice.
Belinda’s experience includes leasing, commercial property transactions, business acquisitions and disposals, and estate planning.
With a strong interest in commercial law, Belinda is passionate about helping clients navigate complex legal matters with clarity and confidence. She brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to every matter, supported by years of hands-on experience across both property and commercial sectors.
Outside the office, Belinda is also a small business owner, running a self-care hamper brand. She enjoys spending time with her young family, often outdoors, and when time allows, can be found by the ocean with a coffee in hand or trail running off the beaten track in nature.
Venessa Thomas
Paralegal
Venessa is a highly experienced property law paralegal with extensive expertise across residential and commercial property matters. She has many years of experience working throughout firms in Newcastle.
Venessa works closely with clients, solicitors, lenders, and agents, providing clear communication and practical support at every stage. She is valued for her reliability, proactive approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
